"Missing Pieces: Life"

We were recently reminded of 'The Missing Pieces' - a compilation of deleted and extended scenes from David Lynch’s ‘Fire Walk With Me’ - a film that shares the same title as our long running EP series, with a concept that resonates - individual fragments coming together to form a more complete, shifting whole, something we can relate to here at EL-EL after 25 years of creative drift. But chin stroking aside, it’s nice to get another one of these iconic EP's out
before we hit the big ‘200’.
Leading the charge we have Danish trance legend Dreamy turning in a seriously proper remix of Karada’s ‘Last Flight’ - an untouched classic from 2003 that made its live debut when the ever wonderful Factoria dropped it at Luminosity in June 2025.
Berlin legend SIOC, who’s remix of Origin’s ‘Wide Eyed Angel’ was a stand out cut on Ben Lost’s EXHIBITION : RAW compilation returns to the label with a unique rework of the seminal ‘Amber’ from Natious - combining melodic elements from both the Silk and Lightning remixes, with his wife providing hauntingly understated vocals, making this unique rework all the more special.
Rounding off the package, Japan’s Kenji Sekoguchi provides a classy remix of Recluse ‘Isle Dauphine’ retaining the balearic trance essence of the original, whilst layering his own beautifully intricate progressive pads and beats, just in time for those al-fresco sets and golden hour moments.
