The Tasadi album ‘The System’ was one of our highlights from 2009. A great concept, some great tunes and a common thread that tied everything together that is so often missing in trance albums. Fast forward a year and a bit and its time to remind ourselves what a fine gem our favourite Dallas resident accomplished. Of course this is prog trance land and that means … remixes.
Tasadi is fortunate enough to work with a fine cadre of producers and DJs. Here he deploys his special forces once more on the 12 tracks from ‘The System’. Russian technoprog trance head opens up proceedings with the quirky electro tinged take on Sol. Things hot up on a detour to Japan with Nhatos driving electro tech on ‘Mecurius’ and ‘Jupiter’. Allende sweetens up proceedings with his glorious pad-driven trance spin on ‘Venus’. Existone is going for the riff with his uplifting ‘Terra’.
Longtime collaborator of Tasadi, German based Michael Badal gets the moon with his stabby electronic chord backing for the enchanting vocal on ‘Luna’. Vadim Zhukov delivers a dubbed out electronic 3am version of ‘Mars’. Some old school trance beats from Ivan Mateluna on ‘Saturnus’ next, followed by growling, sidechained, slick production of Cressidas ‘Uranus’. J-Soul fills our stereo image with his trancey riffs in Neptune and Alejandro Rivera completes the solar system with his leftfield prog spin on ‘Pluto’. For those who like things less vocal we also include the instrumental dubs.
