LOST051 - Koala - Fantasy EP

BIOGRAPHY

Koala is made up of Moscow based Anatoly Voronstov and Igor Dorohov. Here they provide an eclectic 3 track EP which mixes many genres, styles and elements. All have a common Prog-trance theme… but only just. Over the 3 tracks you will find funky basslines, electro-house synths, minimal house grooves and 80's rhythms.

"Fantasy" opens up the EP delivering a rolling and expansive bassline that drives the song. It's a mix of 80's groove layered with inter-twining synth lines.

"With Me, In My Heart" carries on the 80's theme by adding ethereal vocals to a moroder-esque bassline with fanatical 606 / 808 rhythms.

"Optiflex" finishes off the EP with minimal house driven drum pattern layered with squelchy basses and big analog synths that would not be out of place on a Alphaville or Human League record. It's a builder this one... Peaking into a primetime floor filling crescendo.
